Hello! My name is Delaney Kent. I am writing this blog to introduce myself and to give a little background information about me. I am a Public Relations major, and my dream job would be to work for a publishing firm editing novels in Seattle, Washington. I chose Public Relations as my major because I love to read. I was a Nursing major all of Freshman year, and in the back of my mind the entire year, I knew that I wanted to be doing something that involved reading and writing. I went to career counseling to hopefully get some clarity. When I took various assessment tests, they all gave me the same results of becoming a Public Relations major.
My hobbies include reading, writing, watching Netflix, shopping, and spending time with my friends and family. Reading is my absolute favorite activity to do; reading is my happy place. I am a part of Kappa Delta sorority, and I have met some of the best people since pledging this sorority. My friends that I have made are some of the most genuine people I have ever come across. I do not know where I would be with out them in my life; they mean everything to me. I have a very large family. I have one twin sister, two half brothers, one half sister, one step sister, one step brother, a step mother, a father, and my mother. My life is never quiet when I am home. My family is always going, and we always support each other whenever we need it. My family owns a sailboat that my dad built from scratch. In my spare times on the weekend, we go sailing quite frequently. When I was a freshman in college, I was a cheerleader for the University of Southern Mississippi. Now that I have given you information about me, I hope you have a better understanding of who I am as a person.
